The digital offering through the Openbank brand is underpinned by Santander’s own proprietary technology that will ultimately be rolled out across its Retail & Commercial Banking global business.

The United States becomes the first country in which Santander is combining its core banking infrastructure, known as Gravity, with its award-winning customer interface, ODS.

By blending these systems Santander is simplifying products, improving customer experience and reducing costs.

The Openbank digital banking platform is now available nationwide, and will begin offering additional products, such as Certificates of Deposit (CDs) and Checking Accounts, later in 2025.
