Santander Course | English Online 2025 - British Council is aimed at residents in 13 countries.
Three calls for applications will be launched throughout the year, each offering 10,000 places.

Banco Santander, in collaboration with the British Council, is launching a new edition of the Santander Course | English Online 2025 - British Council. Over the course of the year, 30,000 places will be made available across three application rounds for individuals aged 18 and over residing in 13 countries: Argentina, Germany, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, the USA, Spain, Portugal, Peru, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Uruguay.
The first application round, which is now open, offers 10,000 places to candidates with English proficiency levels ranging from A1 to C1. The programme aims to help participants improve their English skills and enhance their career prospects. In the initial stage, which lasts eight weeks, all 10,000 selected participants will have access to six themes on social and workplace English, as well as four teacher-led Live25 webinars focused on improving grammar and pronunciation per month. Upon completing each theme, learners will receive a certificate of theme completion issued by the British Council.
In the second stage, the top 1,500 participants with the best results will continue in the programme. They will benefit from an additional 20 weeks of training, including up to 18 online teacher-led classes available 24/7, where they can interact and practise with one another and receive targeted feedback from expert British Council teachers.
The application period for the Santander Course | English Online 2025 - British Council will be open until 21 April on Santander Open Academy. The programme is completely free, and applicants do not need to be Banco Santander customers.
