Banco Santander has partnered with the global online learning platform Coursera to offer 10,000 scholarships for access to the platform’s training content for one year, free of charge, across 13 different countries.
Interested individuals can apply for these scholarships in courses related to marketing and communication, soft skills, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) sustainability criteria, data science, or cybersecurity, as well as professional certificates from IBM, Microsoft, Google, AWS, and more. Applications will remain open until March 19 on the Santander Open Academy website.
Santander Open Academy is Santander’s global platform for learning and professional development, designed to help people improve their skills and employability through fully funded courses, free content, and scholarships from leading universities and institutions.
Beneficiaries will have at their disposal more than 13,000 courses and guided projects, including Professional Certificates from partners like IBM, Meta, and Microsoft. Nearly 5,000 of these courses are available in 24 popular languages, including Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German and Polish, ensuring broad accessibility for learners around the world. Participants can earn official certifications upon completion, and the program is open to everyone, regardless of whether they are Banco Santander customers or hold a university degree.
The goal of this partnership between Santander and Coursera is to enhance employability and help individuals improve their career opportunities or advance professionally through lifelong learning.
