Global programmes include the Santander Skills | Upskill your Talent Scholarships with Esade and the Santander Language | English to Boost your Career Scholarships with the University of Pennsylvania.
In 2021, Santander granted 30,000 study and business grants in Spain. Now it aims at helping students reach higher education and opportunities to study around Europe.

Banco Santander will be offering more than 80,000 scholarships in the second half of the year through local and global initiatives in Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, the US, Spain, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, the UK and Uruguay.
One of the global programmes open to university students and professionals in all eleven countries is the Santander Skills | Upskill your Talent 2022 Scholarships with Esade to build up basic skills for personal and professional growth. The online programme allows students to choose one of four courses: Leadership; Communication and influence; Personal branding; and Digital soft skills.
Another global programme is the Santander Language | English to Boost your Career 2022 Scholarships to learn professional English in one of these courses with the prestigious University of Pennsylvania in the US: English for Professional Development, English for Business and Entrepreneurship, and English for STEM. The application period ends on 15 November.
Santander Scholarships’ global programmes in the second half of the year concentrate on language learning and digital transformation. In the first half of 2022, however, they aimed at teaching leadership skills to women, communication and negotiation alongside the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), University of Cambridge, the British Council and Harvard Business Publishing Education.
Scholarship programmes in Spain
In 2021, Santander granted 30,000 scholarships and business grants in Spain. In the second half of 2022, it is offering Santander Estudios | Progreso and Santander Erasmus scholarships. The Progreso scholarship gives undergraduate and graduate students with a good academic record a EUR 1,000 stipend to cover expenses and help them access higher education; its application period is open until 11 November. The Erasmus scholarship (for Europe) will be available in November; every year, they recognize the academic excellence of Erasmus+ students and promote inclusion and equal opportunity in studying abroad.
Santander Scholarships programmes in Spain and elsewhere across the bank's footprint aim at lifelong learning. Open to people of all backgrounds and ages, initiatives promote upskilling and reskilling to raise employability.
