Santander Poland’s digital transformation aims to build the best possible employee experience and preserve talent.

Warsaw, 27 Nov 2020
In every organization, HR and processes should be suited to the ever-changing regulatory environment. Having simple, intuitive tools is essential to overcoming new workplace challenges.

Santander Poland shares with us the areas and methodologies they have been working on to make this transformation possible.

  • Service design – a double-diamond design model that puts people at the heart of the process enables them to analyze problems and implement solutions.
  • Interdisciplinary teams – they use an agile approach to effect change quickly. They have brought together experts from different areas to form a single team: HR specialists, project managers, developers, administrators, testers, service designers and a UX designer. This way, technology and HR experts are able to work on specific problems every day.
  • Cooperation with start-ups – they work with start-ups through acceleration programmes and participation at conferences and meetings, enabling them to remain clued up on the latest market solutions.
  • Using best practices/tools – close cooperation with the Technology team – including IT architects – means they can draw on the tools used by other teams and adjust them to their needs.

Although this transformation is not yet complete, further digitalization of processes and the development of service design and technological competences in the coming years will have a positive impact on Santander Poland’s employees and the way they work.
