In response to the coronavirus outbreak and the needs reported by the Polish health care system, Santander Bank Polska will donate 2 million zlotys for the purchase of essential medical equipment for 8 Polish hospitals. The Bank has also declared that it would double the amount raised in the fund-raising initiative launched by the Santander Bank Polska Foundation.

Via the Foundation, Santander Bank Polska will donate two million zlotys to be distributed to the following hospitals in Gdańsk, Kraków, Lublin, Poznań, Puławy, Wrocław and Warsaw:

• SP ZOZ Szpital Uniwersytecki w Krakowie [university hospital in Kraków] 
• Wielospecjalistyczny Szpital Miejski im. Józefa Strusia [municipal hospital in Poznań] 
• Samodzielny Publiczny Szpital Kliniczny Nr 1 w Lublinie [research and teaching hospital in Lublin] 
• Pomorskie Centrum Chorób Zakaźnych i Gruźlicy [centre for contagious diseases and tuberculosis in Gdańsk]
• Ginekologiczno-Położniczy  Szpital Kliniczny Uniwersytetu Medycznego im. Karola Marcinkowskiego w Poznaniu  [gynecological-maternity hospital in Poznań] 
• Central Szpital Kliniczny MSWiA Warszawa [research and teaching hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration in Warsaw]

Our donation will be spent on ventilators, tests, protective clothing - all supplies that are now most needed in the fight against the coronavirus. However, the Bank does not stop at this point.

We will double your impact - the Bank doubles the donations

Today Santander Bank Polska Foundation has launched a fund-raising initiative for medical equipment most needed in hospitals. The Bank will double the amounts donated by its customers and all other persons into the Foundation account -  Santander has allocated another 2 million zlotys for that purpose.

"We believe that together we can do more and we will encourage our customers and employees to join the initiative. Today it is the doctors, nurses, paramedics, lab technicians and the entire medical staff who are fighting for our life, health and return to normal life. Therefore even the smallest donation makes a difference and we will double every zloty paid," says Marzena Atkielska, the president of the Santander Bank Polska Foundation.

The funds will be raised until 14 April 2020. Please, make donations via the internet and mobile banking services to the Foundation account: 89 1090 1056 0000 0001 4462 1854  with a note "pomoc - darowizna". The entire amount raised will be distributed to the 8 Polish hospitals listed above in the form of a targeted donation.
