International Rectors' Meetings

One of Universia’s most significant milestones has been the organisation of the International Rectors' Meetings, which have become one of the world's largest gatherings of university leaders. These events transform the host location into a global hub for education for several days.

They have brought together hundreds of rectors from around the world, fostering discussions on the role of universities as drivers of social and economic development through education, research, and innovation. So far, five meetings have been held: Valencia 2023 (Spain), Salamanca 2018 (Spain), Rio de Janeiro 2014 (Brazil), Guadalajara 2010 (Mexico), and Seville 2005 (Spain).
